Coventry Scaffolding has supported local football team, Bromley FC, for a number of years, and we are pleased to announce we’re extending our partnership for the 2024/25 season.
The club was established in 1892 and has a long and interesting history – including a relationship with Coventry Scaffolding that goes back four decades! Our Chairman, Paul Hanifan, used to play for the club, and was also one of its directors back in the 1980s, alongside the legendary Glynn Beverley. Paul is sometimes invited to sit at the club’s ‘Legends Table’, with former manager, George Wakeling, and player, Paul Edwards.
Bromley FC has achieved great success over the last year, with the first team gaining promotion to League Two for the first time in its 132-year history. “The team’s fantastic performance really boosted the spirits of the local community,” says Coventry Director, Perry Hanifan. “It was brilliant to see so many people celebrating after their win.”
Alongside its success on the pitch, the club has also continued its important work in Bromley through its Community Sports Trust, which offers people in the local area the chance to participate in sports that enhance their physical and mental wellbeing.
“We’re really proud to be a part of the Bromley FC community,” explains Perry. “The club’s work, both on and off the pitch, plays an important role in bringing people together and is a great place to socialise and network with other businesses in the local area and beyond.”
“We’re pleased to support the club for another year and look forward to cheering on the Ravens as they take on League Two.”
If you’re heading down to Hayes Lane to watch the team in action this season, don’t forget to look out for Coventry Scaffolding’s red pitchside boards and new big screen digital ad. We will also be sponsoring the Bristol Street Motors Cup U21s match against Chelsea in September and League Two home fixture against Salford City later in the year.
