Coventry's work on Bromley Town Hall for Winger has been featured in Volume 21 Issue 4 of Construction Forum Magazine.
Efforts to preserve the 1906 Grade-II-listed building with a major refurbishment and restoration project got underway in November 2019. Coventry Scaffolding was chosen to design, supply, erect and dismantle an independent scaffold and temporary roofs.
The scope of the project posed numerous challenges. Thousands of feet of scaffold tube was required as well as internal scaffolds, crash decks, hop ups and seven separate large temporary roofs. Due to the central location, the work needed to be carried out with minimal disruption to the public, and careful consideration of the building’s period features was required as part of the refurbishment work.
Despite disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the project was successfully completed in Autumn 2022, with the newly refurbished building opening to the public in September.
